About Us

The Grounded Family aka Grounded is a Chicago based clothing brand that was brought to life by the minds of Samuel Anum and Jabare Blakely. Grounded was envisioned during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During this time like so many others we were shaken physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Which begged the question: “What keeps us grounded in the midst of fear, uncertainty, and doubt?” What we found most important was having a strong community around us to lean on when waging the war against the challenges that life threw our way. In order to prevail we began putting into perspective the people and activities that brought us back to a feeling of serenity and bliss.

This time of reflection allowed us to move forward in a new journey of self improvement and bring to the world a brand that will challenge others to find what grounds them, and help them come out of dark situations with a new found light.
